My Return to Albion Online as a Nature Healer

After the uncertainty of yesterday's post, I made the decision to return my Twitch stream back to where it began, back to Albion Online. This decision was not taken lightly, and quite frankly, this will need to be a decision I stick with for the foreseeable future. In a way, I view Albion Online as an extension of myself. For the last decade, I have played this game for greater than 15,000 hours and made so many memories, good and bad. It is the hallmark of my channel, the place I made the most friends in, and the place that offered me the opportunity to become a partnered Twitch streamer and full time content creator. As such, the commitment to Albion Online must be set in stone as an extension of my overall health and wellness both in game and IRL. Let me explain.
For those who have not read my blog previously, the purpose of the blog has been to find meaning in life and make meaningful changes that will hopefully bring me closer to finding the purpose I am seeking. To this end, I have had a flurry of activities take over, specifically as it relates to my IRL. The most important thing for me right now in my life is to focus on my physical and mental health, as that focus will spill over in a positive way to all other facets of my life. Because my focus right now is on the IRL side of the equation, that means that even with Albion Onine coming back into the picture, I must continue to leave my focus on IRL. Albion Online will be there as my reward for doing the things I need to do IRL and will be the final thing I do when all other important activities are done. This will motivate me to do the things I plan to do rather than sit at my computer playing Albion Online to the exclusion of all else like I use to do.
With the priorities set, this next edition of my Albion Online gameplay will benefit greatly. Yesterday, on 5/2/2026 I decided to create my forever character in Albion Online. His name is BroiledScrod. It is a name that is kind of odd to be honest, but I couldn't think of anything else on the spot and I thought it was both funny and delicious. I started that character out in a similar way that I view my IRL activities right now, as a foundational nature staff healer. As I am healing myself IRL, I also will be healing in game and building the foundation of the adventures to come by healing others. The first day back to Albion Online felt great. I leveled up my nature staff weapon and armor to level 85, unlocking nearly all of the passives that I wanted for my weapon. I also decided at to join my friend JonahVeil's guild, the Bunch of Rats, so that I could have some fun group content that would not be stressful because I would not be responsible for organizing it.
We ended up having a fun faction warfare session with the bunch of rat's crews and I was able to try out a new healing build that I wanted to try with my nature staff. I went the 1 handed nature staff, a mistcaller offhand, druid helmet and robes, mercenary shoes, and lymhurst cape. My food was an omelet, and my drink was a resistance potion. I usually never go the 1 handed nature staff, but that staff actually is quite good at healing in a massive AOE once you unlock the level 85 ability of rejuvenating breeze. I found it to be quite a good healing burst when I was able to combo my druidic robe with the burst healing of the ultimate of the 1 handed nature staff. Of course, I need to practice more to ensure I have better positioning during faction warfare content, as well as ensuring that I am having the best healing output I can have, but ultimately, the foundation for great healing is there.
As I get ready to start my day, I look forward to when I am through with all of my daily tasks so that I can jump back in and progress in the game that started it all for me. I am feeling more and more refreshed and exciting to play Albion Online, and with a new guild with old friends, I am sure things will start to get more and more fun as the days, weeks, and months of Albion Online continue. One thing is for sure; I would like to start and showcase Albion Online again by dedicating a few blog posts to the game. Perhaps I can create a series called, "things I like about Albion Online" and go from there. Thanks again for watching everyone and hope you have a great Sunday.
Until next time,
Blackboa
