Wuoshi Server Status Update: Everquest 2's New TLE (Day 5)

Today marks the 5th day of the new Everquest 2 Time Limited Expansion server known as Wuoshi. This experience has been one of my most addicting gaming experiences in quite some time, perhaps even years, as I continue to stream the game more than 8 hours a day and play the game probably close to 12 hours a day. Today, I would like to give a short and sweet status update of my character in game and what I have been up to these past 5 days. I have been fortunate enough to play since the beginning of the server, and as such, have been enjoying both leveling up my character level and crafting levels accordingly.
First, let's talk numbers. As of the writing of this blog post, my character has achieved the following milestones:
1). Level 43 Adventure Level of my Erudite Fury gained mainly through running dungeons.
2). Level 34 Crafting Level of my chosen profession of Tailoring.
3). Earned nearly 5 platinum of in game currency, primarily from selling bags to other players via the auction.
4). Currently questing and gathering in the Enchanted Lands, a level 30 - 39 resources tier zone.
5). Joined a streamer guild called Dragon Treats which has been very helpful and active.
The goal for this weekend is to take advantage of the double loot buff that is activated for the server. This is a unique buff to Wuoshi as other TLE servers do not have this type of mechanic in them. As such, the amount of people running dungeons and raids this weekend will be immense, and I hope to link up with my guild mates to run multiple dungeons with me as the healer. Although I can DPS as well in Dungeons, I am noticing that as the dungeons get harder, it is much more beneficial for me to focus on healing and curing my targets rather than trying to DPS. The great news is, I have been leveling my skills through questing, so I don't really need to do any DPS during dungeons to level up my combat skills.
The guild Dragon Treats (of which I am an officer and would be happy to recruit anyone who request it), has been growing steadily. It now has a guild house, and the guild bank is constantly being contributed to so that all players can gain a footing as they level up with better gear, spells, bags, and other useful items. We contributed over twenty 16 slot bags the other day and will continue to contribute additional bags as our tailoring increases. I am trying to strike a balance between contributing to the guild and building my own wealth in game, and I believe it is going well thus far.
If I had to name a pain point, I have been having thus far with the new server, it will have to be the lack of quest objectives highlights on the map that point you where the quests are. Instead, I have had to google pretty much every quest since I do not know any of the points of interests off the top of my head. I have started to learn how to utilize EQ2 Maps addon a little bit more, learning that you can use the search function to help search for quest related keywords that may be marked on the map, but my go to is still using google to find waypoints and just enter them into the game when needed to find the quest objectives I am looking for.
Other than that, I have been extremely happy with the new Everquest 2 Time Locked Expansion server Wuoshi. The population is massive, and everyone seems to be quite hype on it. I hope the hype continues, but even if it doesn't, the enjoyment I am getting just playing the game is something that I have been missing from gaming for quite some time. It has not been since the days of Albion Online that this level of addiction has taken hold, and the fact that I am taking a break from walking and working out to nurse a foot injury has added even more fuel to the fire. Starting back on Monday (assuming the injury is healed), I look forward to walking and working out again, but at least for now I can focus on my nutrition to ensure that my lack of physical activity is offset by healthy eating habits. Time to hop in the shower then get to more streaming on Twitch. Cya soon and have a wonderful weekend!
Until next time,
Blackboa
