The 3 Universal Laws of the Universe
In my life I have been searching for answers for as long as I can remember. There was a period of my life in my late 20's and early 30's where I was a voracious reader, reading over 100 books in a year. The vast majority of these books were self-help books, written by authors who claimed to have found novel and innovative ways to navigate life in ways that brought them happiness and joy. I consumed these books and while in the process of trying to understand what they were saying, I began to feel a change in me but didn't quite understand what was happening at the time. Flash forward to the present, and I picked up a book at Barnes and Nobles yesterday that spoke of the 3 Universal Laws of the Universe.
While I have heard of these laws in some way shape or form through my previous reading, something about this book made it clearer than the others on what they were and how they were to be used. For those interested, the book is called "The Essential Law of Attraction Collection (The Teachings of Abraham)" by Esther and Jerry Hicks. In this book, the 3 universal laws of the universe are:
1). The Law of Attraction
2). The Science of Deliberate Creation
3). The Law of Allowing
I am very early in my reading of this book, but I can already tell that something is starting to click regarding these concepts. I'll try to explain the concepts above in my own words and how I am currently using them to my advantage.
The Law of Attraction states that what you put your attention to you get more of, whether that is good or bad. It doesn't happen right away, but consistent thought towards something you want or don't want will likely bring more circumstances and events into your life of the thing you are wanting or not wanting. A personal realization I have had lately is that I am putting more energy into what I don't want rather than what I do want. I now endeavor to only put my thoughts and feelings towards things that bring me joy and happiness and things I want to see in my life.
The Science of Deliberate Creation states that prolonged thought towards something you want, backed by a belief that you are capable of attaining the desire you are putting your thoughts toward, eventually begins to manifest into reality. I can relate to this in my career on Twitch. For the longest time, I was trying to become Twitch Partner on the platform, but every time I got close and was denied partnership, I was derailed by my negative emotions and feelings. It was not until I committed to a long-term challenge for streaming the same game for 365 days straight and believing it was possible to achieve (despite getting rejected during the challenge multiple times) that I finally achieved Twitch Partner 4 months into the 12-month challenge. I need only apply myself to my desire, believe it is true, and move forward in harmony with the universal laws to manifest that which I desire.
The Law of Allowing states that you and those around you are all creating their circumstances through thoughts, and your allowance of yourself to reap what you sow while also allowing others to reap what they sow, brings you to a place of understanding that there is no circumstances out of your control that would impact you from achieving what you seek so long as you allow yourself and others to achieve their desires. In the past, I have struggled with the Law of Allowing because of comparing myself to others and being jealous of their success. I also have had strong feeling in the past of not being worthy of the things I was receiving, hence, not allowing myself to reap what I sowed and instead sabotaging the endeavors I was working towards. I endeavor now to allow myself to receive the good things I am working towards and being happy with / collaborating with others who are working towards things that are in harmony with the universal laws of the universe.
I hope you find this brief explanation of the 3 Universal Laws of the Universe intriguing enough to perhaps go on your own journey of self-discovery as I have. Initially, you will have resistance to these thoughts and ideas as I did when I first started reading this type of material, but if you stick with it and genuinely want to change your thoughts and circumstances, I believe it will be worth the struggle.
Until next time,
Blackboa
