Happy Easter to Those who Celebrate

Today will be a rather short blog post as I simply wish to extend my well wishes to those of you who celebrate Easter today on April 5th, 2026.  As someone who has been raised Orthodox Christian, our Easter lands on April 12, 2026, this year as we follow the Gregorian calendar for events such as these.  Friday was good Friday, and many people had that day off from work, so I hope you all have enjoyed your extended weekend with friends, family, and loved ones.

Admittedly, I tend to feel a little down during the holidays as I don't really celebrate many of them anymore, specifically because the core of my family is no longer alive.  I tend to think about my mom and dad during these times, and I desperately wish they were still with me.  Both of them unfortunately passed away at the age of 65, so life has felt empty for quite some time without them.

While I understand life is what you make it, I must acknowledge my feelings of sadness and realize that no matter how hard things get during these moments, there will be brighter days ahead.  This year already has seen some incredible headway towards a brighter future, and I hope to continue this momentum for the duration of the year.  Wishing you all a happy and healthy Easter 2026.
