Dungeons and Dragons 1 shot Campaign Tonight at 8 p.m. EST!
Tonight is the big night where my twitch community is holding our first ever Dungeons and Dragons 1 shot campaign! Led by community member FireDogForge as the dungeon master, 3 others and I will play the role of adventurers in a homebrew campaign of FireDogForge's choosing. We will be using the 5.5e rulebook from D&D Beyond along with a Virtual Tabletop that will allow us to visualize our characters and integrate our character sheets from the D&D Beyond website as well. For those interested, I will share my Dragonborn Barbarian Character sheet for your viewing pleasure.

During the day today I will be preparing for the campaign by watching some YouTube videos live on my channel a few hours before 8 p.m. EST so that I am ready to play my Dragonborn Barbarian to the greatest extent possible. One of the videos that I plan to watch is an extensive Barbarian Guide video that is nearly an hour long. I will also have my hard cover players handbook handy in case I need to reference anything while the game is ongoing. I am excited because our Dungeon Master and the other players have experience in Dungeons and Dragons, so this will be a great learning experience for me as someone who has little to no experience. I will try to keep my questions to a minimum so as to not interrupt the flow of play, but I know I will have a few things that I will have to ask questions on, especially as it relates to the flow of combat and some of the technical elements of the virtual tabletop software.
Assuming that this 1 shot campaign goes well and all participants enjoy it, I would love to continue having regular Dungeons and Dragons campaigns as part of the regular course of my twitch community. I think using our imaginations in this regard is a great supplement to what many MMORPG gamers feel is a lack of quality in the MMORPG gaming space. What better way to play the RPG of our choosing than using the infinite power of our own imaginations to create the experiences we personally enjoy. I know that as I learn from other players and especially dungeon masters, that I too will one day want to use my imagination to create my own homebrew campaign and be a dungeon master as well. Storytelling and writing are something I really enjoy, and if I put my mind to it, I know I can create something special. Looking forward to this evening's 1 shot campaign!
