Cruising through Elder Scrolls Online

04/22/2026

Since our journey began in Elder Scrolls Online a couple of weeks ago, we have been cruising through the content, and our character has seen some immense gains in the world of Tamriel.  We have hit level 50, CP 250+ in a very short time, and once we hit CP 300 as our next major milestone, we will be able to queue for any veteran dungeon that the game has to offer.  This will make it even more convenient to do content in Elder Scrolls Online by being able to use matchmaking to access these dungeons.

In addition to our vertical progression in character level and CP, we also have been achieving additional vertical progression in leveling our skill lines and investing skill points in the active and passive skills that we currently are using for our build.  We have done this by continually earning experience through a number of sources, including open world mob grinds, quests, and dungeons.  The skill points have been earned from various sources, including most of the sources that I wrote about yesterday in my skill point blog post which you can find here.  The game is immense, so I have a long way to go to be able to level and invest in everything that is possible in Elder Scrolls Online, including many skill lines I have yet to unlock in the game that will make my character even stronger.

My guild, the Beasts of Burden, continues to grow stronger with upwards of 19 members since we started back on April 17th, 2026.  While I do admit yesterday was a bit of an off day in terms of having people join me in discord to do content, I know that it is the weekday and people have work and less time to hang out than they normally do during the weekend.  It is amazing though how much I crave this interaction on discord now.  I used to avoid it at all costs, but now it is a huge part of my enjoyment of Elder Scrolls Online, and frankly, it would be for any game that I decide to invest time into.  While I am fully committed to Elder Scrolls Online, I wonder if there are other games that people in my ESO community would enjoy playing together that are more casual in nature from time to time.  Building the social bonds in multiple games would serve us well as we get to know each other and build trust in each other.

At the same time, I am so addicted to ESO that I now have a bit of a worry that if I try any other game, even casually, that my addiction in ESO would wane, and that is something that I absolutely do not want to happen.  So, for now, we will stay the course and realize that the only other game that would take any time away from ESO whatsoever would be Dungeons and Dragons, the tabletop game.  In fact, our next D&D session is tomorrow, Thursday, April 23rd, 2026 at 8 p.m. EST.  I look forward to having our first session that was delayed from last week and building some bonds with the players and dungeons master who will be leading the charge.  I will be playing a Dragonborn Barbarian, so I am looking forward to it.  Time to get grinding again!

Until next time,

Blackboa
